April 21, 2017 -- The snow has melted, the trails are drying up and it’s time to tune up the bikes! In just two short months hundreds of kids will be hitting the trails for the spring edition of IMBA Canada’s Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day (#TAKMBD).

Clear your calendar for a few hours on Saturday, June 10, 2017 and join the families, clubs, youth groups and National Parks celebrating #TAKMBD across Canada!

Want to organize an event in your area? There is lots of time! Our host packages include everything you need to put on a fantastic #TAKMBD celebration, including promotional posters, stickers, race plates and prizes from MEC and IMBA Canada. Also included are some great resources from Sprockids to help plan activities for the little rippers.

Just register your event at no later than May 27, 2017 to have it added to our interactive map and to receive your host package before June 10. Don’t forget – Any day can be #TAKMBD so even if your event isn’t on June 10, you can still sign up!

Thank you to the volunteers across Canada who are taking the time to host mountain biking events for kids, and get your youth outside – You are helping to grow the Canadian mountain bike community and create the next generation of riders!
