Every spring, IMBA Canada heads to the Toronto International Bike Show to meet our members and spread the word about sustainable trails. This year was particularly memorable since all eight Canadian staff members were in town!

As always, the show was a great opportunity to to attract new supporters, sell IMBA Canada merchandise, and raise funds. In addition to our books, accessories and classic tees, the IMBA booth sold new Long Live Long Rides gear.

The Bike Show was also host to the inaugural meeting of the Ontario Regional Leadership Advisory Council. Nine members of the Council participated in an ‘unconference,’ discussing issues and projects affecting mountain bikers in the province.

Congratulations to renewing member Steve Hewitt, of Pickering, ON, for winning the custom IMBA / Race Face crank set. All membership sales from the weekend were entered into a draw for the Atlas crank and bottom bracket.

In light of the unfortunate news, we’d like to sincerely thank Race Face for their support of IMBA over the years. As a strong Canadian brand and manufacturer, Race Face will surely be missed in the mountain bike community.
