Waterton Lakes National Park Pass Creek Picnic Area Waterton Lakes National Park, AB

Ride along a vehicle-free Red Rock Parkway! The road will be closed to all vehicle traffic and you can ride as far as your interest takes you - just a short distance or all the way to Red Rock Canyon and back (30 km round-trip). There will be snack stations, a support vehicle, and lots of encouragement along the way. After the ride, join us at Pass Creek for a centennial celebration BBQ.

This is a family event. Helmets are mandatory for anyone under 18, and highly recommended for everyone else. We encourage children to come with a legal guardian. Due to limited parking at Pass Creek, consider parking at Driftwood Beach and riding to Pass Creek.

Durham Mountain Biking Association Durham Forest, 3789 Concession Road 7 Uxbridge, ON

This free event will be a fun day for kids of all ages and riding abilities. We’re taking our kids out of the city and into the forest - off of the side walks and onto a real mountain bike trail! They will experience the thrill of riding along rolling dirt trails in small groups for about an hour. Experienced guides for each group will offer tips and techniques on how to safely handle the new challenges of trail riding. A bike mechanic will be on site to help with minor mechanical issues and ensure everyone gets a safe start on their ride. Rides will be leaving about every 10 minutes and groups will be organized according to the kids’ ages and riding abilities so everyone will have an enjoyable trail riding experience. Free lunch and hot chocolate will be provided for all the kids and available to parents at a nominal cost.

Loot Bags: Every participant will receive a loot bag full of fun bike stuff: a bike bottle from Oxford Learning; a variety of fun bike gear and discount coupons from the shops, bike stickers & decals, maps & info on hiking and biking trails in the area, and more!

The RMCC is pleased to be passing on our passion for pedaling by organizing an awesome day of events! The event will begin with age-appropriate group trail rides led by bike-skilled volunteers. The CNC has an amazing network of trails including new trails recently built specifically for young children and beginner mountain bikers as well as a network of advanced trails. Kids will be split into groups according to age and ability (from 5 up to 17) so as to ensure a fun experience for all level and ages of riders. Following the trail ride, kids will then have an opportunity to learn some new mountain bike techniques and practice them in a Skills N Stunts area. This will be a fun yet very well supervised area, where kids can learn and practise new skills. At noon there will be a fun and informal kids mountain bike race, with an emphasis on participation, not performance. Also on hand for keen participants will be some demo bikes, food and draw prizes.

This is a fun and totally FREE event, but please register here:

This event is proudly sponsored by the RMCC, Rocky Mountain Rehab, Pizza Construction, the Town of Canmore, Trail Sports, Bactrax, Rebound Cycle and the Canmore Nordic Centre.
