Setting goals - and seeing them through - is no easy feat. Are you a head in the clouds, long-term planner? Or maybe a short-term, master of to do lists?

It can be hard to strike a balance, and even more difficult to manage short and long term goals. Even more difficult when you're talking about the future of an organization, or a trail network.

We've all been there: riding on a great trail system for the first time – its got great flow, sweet technical sections, and you're having a blast.

But where the heck are you? Do you go right, or left at that fork ahead?

Signage (or lack-thereof) can make or break a ride.

Earlier this month, ShortHills Cycling Club presented a cheque for $11,000 to Ontario Parks, for trail work done in Short Hills Provincial Park during 2011.

This is a great example of how to promote your club and its achievements, and also to quantify your value and commitment to the environment, and the community at large.
