Club Benefits and Programs

IMBA CANADA CLUB INSURANCE
IMBA-affiliated clubs can purchase insurance from Oasis Insurance that will protect the club, its members and its board of directors from liability claims that result from organized club events such as trail work sessions and group rides. A standard policy costs $10 per member, $4 per km of managed trail with a $250 minimum. Get more info in the Resources section.

IMBA CANADA TRAIL CARE CREW
Arranging a Trail Care Crew visit is one of the best ways to connect your club with IMBA and the latest trail maintenance techniques. Check out the schedule to see when the Crew will be in your area, and find out more information about requesting a visit.

ADVOCACY SUPPORT
IMBA supports and assists more than 500 affiliated organizations on various issues. IMBA's full-time professional advocacy team is always available to help with timely expert advice when trails in your area are threatened for closure. IMBA staff can also answer questions about fundraising, legal issues (including liability), and non-profit regulations.

REGIONAL SUPPORT
IMBA Canada employs regional coordinators across the country that can connect you with land managers, government officials, mountain bike leaders, and decision-makers in your area. Check out the Near You section for staff in your area.

BIKE PATROL
Establishing a volunteer patrol in your area is often a great solution when user conflicts threaten mountain bike access. The IMBA Bike Patrol program promotes and supports local mountain bike patrollers and groups that inform, assist and educate mountain bikers and other trail users.
