2015 Trail Care Crew Visit Requests Now Being Accepted

October 2, 2014 -- The application period for receiving a visit from the IMBA Canada Trail Care Crew in 2015 is now open.

Do you want to engage your volunteers, learn new techniques to build sustainable, multi-use trails, and have some fun? Active organizations should not miss this opportunity to learn about sustainable trail building and design, club growth, and community trails development.

Apply now!

The IMBA Canada Trail Care Crew is a dynamic team of professional trailbuilders, educators, and enablers. Supported by Parks Canada and Subaru Canada, the Crew travels across the country year-round, getting Canadians of all ages outdoors, and educating them about sustainable trails! Visits are free and open to all non-motorized trail users. They are hosted by IMBA Canada-affiliated clubs, Parks Canada sites, and other land managers.

Typical visits take place over four days and include a trail project assessment, an IMBA Trail Building School, a social night, and group ride. With typically more than 30 visits and events each year, we rely on local volunteers to help coordinate many of the details. Read more about the Trail Care Crew program.

We encourage IMBA Canada-affiliated bike clubs, local trail groups, and land management agencies to apply by Monday, November 3rd, to allow us to assess the demand for the program in 2015 and give us the time to prepare staff and resources accordingly.
