JOIN THE NATIONAL DIALOGUE ON RECREATIONAL TRAILS

IMBA Canada is urging all members, retailers, and affiliate clubs to respond to theNational Trail Survey before Dec. 31. 2011.

ADSVMQ PARTNERS WITH VELO QUEBEC TO PROMOTE RECREATIONAL MOUNTAIN BIKING

Last week, ADSVMQ signed a partnership with Vélo Québec, the organization behind "La Route Verte" cycling route all across the province. Vélo Québec will now add mountain biking to their already impressive portfolio in order to gain a larger audience, and to speak on behalf of all types of cyclists.

"With shared values such as promoting and improving cycling in Québec, the partnership between ADSVMQ and Vélo Québec is a natural match," says Eric Leonard, IMBA Canada's Quebec Regional Coordinator and ADSVMQ board member. "We're thrilled to embark on this new journey to help bring more riding opportunities to mountain bikers across the province."

ADSVMQ, Quebec's provincial mountain bike organization, was established in 2004 with the mission of defending and promoting the interests of recreational mountain biking.

TRAIL CARE CREW WRAPS UP ANOTHER SEASON

IMBA Canada's Trail Care Crew has finished another year on the road, with a final visit at Fort Rodd Hill National Historic Site, Victoria, BC. 2011 was another phenomenal season, with more than 650 volunteers trained at IMBA Trail Building Schools.

A great big thank you to program partners Parks Canada and the Trans Canada Trail, who make the program a reality, and also to Subaru, Trek, Thule, Camelbak, Kryptonite and Giro for their generous equipment donations. Many thanks also to The North Face Canada, who matched individual donations to the IMBA Trail Building Fund, which was dedicated to bridge funding shortfalls and help keep the Crew on the road in 2011.

Check out the blog for an interactive map, showing all the locations the Trail Care Crew visited this year.
