A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending MEC London’s Bikefest. It was a great gathering of local clubs and organizations all coming together to discuss all things bike related. From hands on workshops and flat tire changing contests, to all the organizations and groups on hand to talk about trails, programming and all things cycling related; there was a little something for everyone at this year’s event. MEC staff even had those covered that forgot it was Mother’s Day with complimentary flowers available to take home to mom!

This past weekend saw our second Trail Care Crew Workshop of the year take place in Chilliwack, BC with the Fraser Valley Mountain Bikers Association (FVMBA).  The workshop saw 12 eager participants with varying degrees of previous build experience attend and all were eager to learn and put in some great work using new techniques learned during the in-class portion.

This past week I had the pleasure of presenting our Winter Trails and Fat Biking presentation to the UTRCA at their superintendants meeting.

This past week I had the pleasure to travel to Kouchibouguac National Park for their Fat Bike Week festivities. It was great to see the turnout for such a successful event, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work and collaboration from the entire Park staff.

This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending the Northern Fat Bike Summit in Marquette, Michigan and enjoying a full weekend of nothing but fat tires and snowy trails.

Williams Lake, BC and the Mountain Bike Tourism Symposium was our latest stop in our 2015 Trail Care Crew season, and like all the others, the southern Chilcotin town and visit did not disappoint!

The Kootenay’s offers some of the best mountain biking in BC. With places like Nelson, Kaslo and Retallack to name a few, it is no surprise why many riders flock to the area on a regular basis to enjoy the great riding. Nestled among all those popular zones and ride destinations is the small town of New Denver and the riding there definitely lived up to the standard set for amazing Kootenay riding.

Jasper National Park is arguably one of the most beautiful backdrops you could enjoy in our country. There is no better place to be if you enjoy the outdoors and it was the latest stop for us in our 2015 Trail Care Crew season.

Redcliff, AB is a small community just outside of Medicine Hat. From Highway 1 it might be easy to drive by without even batting an eye, and for us it was our latest stop in our 2015 Trail Care Crew Season to work with the 670 Collective.

Whitecourt, AB was my most recent stop on the 2015 Trail Care Crew schedule and what a stop it was! The WMBA is a very organized club of over 250 members, and what makes them truly unique is that they are able to garner such high membership numbers with no natural surface trail offerings in the area!
